At ADS Timber, we supply quality seasoned hardwood firewood to homes and businesses throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Whether you rely on a wood-burning stove to heat your home, enjoy the warmth of an open fire or simply want to stock up before the colder months arrive, we provide dependable, locally sourced firewood at competitive prices.

Unlike suppliers who purchase timber from unknown sources, we produce our firewood through our own forestry contracting and woodland management operations. This means we know exactly where our timber comes from, how it has been processed and the care taken throughout its preparation. With over 35 years of experience working in forestry, we understand what makes good firewood and take pride in supplying a quality product.

Seasoned Hardwood Firewood

Choosing the right firewood makes a considerable difference to the performance of your stove or fireplace. Properly seasoned hardwood produces reliable heat, burns steadily and helps reduce the problems associated with burning excessively wet timber. At ADS Timber, we supply seasoned hardwood firewood that has been processed and air-dried to prepare it for use as a dependable heating fuel.

Our firewood primarily consists of established hardwood species such as ash, beech and sycamore. These timbers are popular for domestic heating because of their good heat output and steady burning characteristics. Hardwood is particularly suitable for households looking for longer-lasting fires without constantly needing to replenish their fuel.

We understand that customers want firewood they can rely on, which is why we focus on supplying properly prepared timber rather than low-quality, freshly cut wood that requires extensive additional seasoning. If you have particular requirements regarding log size, quantity or intended use, we are happy to discuss the options available.

Firewood for Wood-Burning Stoves & Open Fires

Our hardwood firewood is suitable for a wide variety of domestic heating applications, including traditional open fireplaces, modern wood-burning stoves and multi-fuel appliances designed to burn wood. Whether your fire provides occasional warmth during winter evenings or forms an important part of your household heating, having a reliable supply of suitable fuel is essential.

Different appliances have different requirements, particularly when it comes to the length and size of individual logs. We offer standard-sized firewood suitable for many domestic stoves and fireplaces, with alternative cutting lengths available where practical. We recommend checking your appliance manufacturer’s guidance to ensure you are using suitable fuel.

Using adequately dried firewood also helps your appliance operate more efficiently, reducing unnecessary smoke and deposits associated with wet timber. Customers should always follow their appliance instructions and any applicable local smoke control requirements.

Locally Sourced & Responsibly Produced Firewood

One of the biggest advantages of purchasing firewood from ADS Timber is knowing that your fuel comes directly from established forestry operations. As professional forestry contractors, we carry out woodland thinning, timber harvesting, tree felling and ongoing woodland management throughout Yorkshire.

These activities produce timber that can be processed into useful firewood, allowing us to make practical use of material recovered during our everyday work. Rather than relying on imported supplies, we utilise timber from our own operations, supporting responsible woodland management and reducing unnecessary waste.

Our approach reflects our wider commitment to looking after woodland environments. Through selective thinning, careful harvesting and appropriate management, we help maintain productive woodlands while making use of the timber resources they provide.

Bulk Firewood Supplies & Local Delivery

Whether you need a smaller quantity of firewood for occasional use or a larger supply to see you through winter, ADS Timber can discuss an option to suit your requirements. We offer firewood in bulk bags and trailer loads, making it easier to purchase quantities appropriate for your property, available storage and heating needs.

Our team provides local firewood deliveries throughout Yorkshire, including Selby, York, Pocklington, Wetherby, Malton and surrounding communities. We aim to make ordering straightforward, with clear communication about available quantities, delivery arrangements and pricing.

If you are preparing for winter, we recommend arranging your firewood supply in good time. Ordering ahead gives you an opportunity to organise suitable storage and avoid leaving your fuel requirements until the coldest part of the year.

Why Choose ADS Timber for Firewood?

As an established, family-run forestry business, we offer something different from a typical firewood reseller. We understand the characteristics of different hardwoods and the importance of preparing them properly for use as fuel.

We believe in providing straightforward advice, reliable service and quality products without unnecessary complications. Our customers benefit from locally sourced timber, flexible supply quantities and a team that takes responsibility for the entire process, from woodland operations through to firewood preparation and delivery.
