At ADS Timber, we supply quality hardwood logs to domestic and commercial customers throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Whether you are looking for logs for your wood-burning stove, open fireplace or general heating requirements, we provide locally sourced timber in a range of quantities to suit your needs. From individual bulk bags to larger trailer loads, we offer a straightforward and reliable log supply service.

As an established forestry contracting and woodland management business with over 35 years of experience, we have the knowledge, equipment and resources to produce our own hardwood logs. Unlike suppliers who rely entirely on purchasing processed timber from third parties, we source much of our timber directly through our forestry operations. This allows us to maintain greater control over the timber we supply, from its original source through to cutting, processing and preparation.

Seasoned Hardwood Logs for Sale

We specialise in supplying seasoned hardwood logs, including popular timber species such as ash, beech and sycamore. These hardwoods are well suited to domestic heating applications thanks to their density, reliable burning characteristics and ability to produce a steady heat output when properly dried.

Seasoning is an important part of preparing logs for use as firewood. Freshly cut timber naturally contains a considerable amount of moisture, which must be reduced before the wood can burn efficiently. Our logs are seasoned to help improve their burning performance, making them a practical choice for customers looking for a dependable supply of hardwood fuel.

Whether you use logs every day throughout winter or occasionally during colder evenings, we can help you choose a suitable quantity. We understand that customers have different requirements depending on their heating appliances, storage arrangements and how frequently they use their fires.

Ash, Beech & Sycamore Hardwood Logs

Our hardwood log supplies primarily include ash, beech and sycamore, each offering useful characteristics for domestic heating. Ash is a popular choice for wood-burning stoves and open fires, providing good heat output and reliable burning performance when adequately seasoned. Beech is another dense hardwood that can produce long-lasting heat, making it suitable for households that regularly use solid-fuel heating.

Sycamore also provides a useful heating fuel when properly dried and processed. By supplying a selection of hardwood species recovered through our forestry and woodland management operations, we can make effective use of locally available timber while providing customers with practical heating fuel.

The exact mixture of hardwood species may vary depending on current forestry operations and stock availability. If you have a preference for a particular type of log, please contact us to discuss what is available.

Hardwood Logs Cut to Suit Your Requirements

We understand that not every wood-burning stove or fireplace is designed to accommodate the same size of log. Smaller domestic stoves often require shorter lengths, while larger appliances and traditional open fireplaces may be able to accommodate longer pieces of timber.

At ADS Timber, we process our own logs and can discuss different cutting lengths to suit individual requirements where practical. This flexibility helps customers obtain timber that is suitable for their appliance, rather than having to purchase logs that may be too large or inconvenient to use.

If you require a particular log length, please let us know when making your enquiry. We will be happy to explain the available options and advise whether your preferred size can be supplied.

Bulk Bags & Trailer Loads of Logs

Purchasing hardwood logs in larger quantities can be a convenient option for households that regularly use wood-burning stoves or open fires. Rather than arranging frequent smaller deliveries, ordering a bulk supply allows you to keep a suitable quantity of timber available throughout the colder months.

We offer hardwood logs in bulk bags and trailer loads, providing options for customers with different heating needs and available storage space. Bulk bags are particularly useful for households that want a manageable supply, while trailer loads can be suitable for customers who have sufficient storage and use larger quantities of logs.

Our team can discuss current stock, available quantities and delivery arrangements before you place an order. We aim to provide clear information so that you understand what you are purchasing and can make the appropriate arrangements for receiving and storing your logs.

Locally Sourced Logs from Our Own Forestry Operations

One of the main advantages of choosing ADS Timber is our direct involvement in forestry and woodland management. Our work includes tree felling, woodland thinning, timber harvesting and the management of established woodland environments throughout Yorkshire.

These operations generate timber that can be processed into useful products, including hardwood logs for domestic heating. By utilising suitable timber from our own forestry activities, we help make practical use of woodland resources while reducing unnecessary waste.

Our experience also means we understand the differences between timber species, the importance of proper processing and the requirements involved in preparing logs for customers. From selecting suitable timber to cutting and seasoning, our forestry background supports the quality and reliability of the products we supply.
